Prithvi is the creator and author of the 2Gemba Lean Product Development blog. He blogs based on over 15 years of experience applying Lean thinking to improve business processes in Product Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality.
Prithvi has successfully led New Product Development teams at Fortune 500 companies like Steelcase, HNI Corporation as well as medium and small entreprenueral organizations such as BDI Furniture. He has led Engineering teams through several successful New Product Introductions, reducing time-to-market, R&D costs, improving quality of new products and ensuring products that resonate with markets.
He also led the Quality and Continuous Improvement team at Wieland Designs where he was responsible for leading the company through their first defect-free ISO 9001 audit, re-designing the manufacturing and factory layout to absorb over $18 million dollars worth of additional manufacturing revenue, identifying and implementing over $250,000 in cost-savings opportunities.
Prithvi enjoys sharing his knowledge, expertise and passion for Lean and Quality to coach companies and individuals who are interested in continuously improving their people, processes and products or services. He has trained over 300 people over the course of his career in Lean thinking and enjoys watching them experience their first “A-HA” moments! Prithvi is currently employed with Cepheid (a Danaher operating company) as a DBS Leader.
Prithvi holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.
